2010 - COPD Canada Patient Network

EVENT INFORMATION Activities for Patients and Public: 1. The Network did a mass mailing of COPD Info pamphlets, Awareness pins, Emergency Medical Info cards, and a reminder of the significance of World COPD Day. COPD Books were also mailed to a number of patients in the very rural areas (those without Internet access). 2. Additionally, the members of the Network contacted the Health Ministers of their respective provinces requesting their province proclaim November 17th, 2010, as COPD Day. Five of the provinces proclaimed that day as such and further read the proclamation/declaration during their Legislative sessions.
