5: Gather Resources

Download, adapt, and translate as necessary the resources that you want to use for your event. English versions of World COPD Day resources are provided here. (All materials copyright GOLD 2012 except external links and where otherwise noted.)

  • World COPD Day 2012 Logos (JPG format)
    Low resolution, for documents
High resolution, for posters and banners
  • New resources for 2012!
    • GOLD Ribbon Stickers. Download this page of "GOLD Ribbon" COPD awareness stickers, adapt/translate them if you like, and distribute them to participants in your activity. If you are interested in purchasing sheets of printed stickers, please contact us.
    • GOLD Ribbon pin photo. Use this image of a lapel pin that was created several years ago by WCD organizers in Japan to discuss with local vendors how to make GOLD ribbons to distribute. You may include GOLD COPD, or COPD or even your own logo on the pin. (Unfortunately, GOLD cannot help with the process of making such pins, but is providing the image as an aid to your discussions locally.)
  • Posters for Patients and the Public:
  • Credit where credit is due: We are happy for World COPD Day activity organizers around the world to adapt GOLD's WCD materials with local information or statistics, or to “brand” their own materials with the WCD logo. However, we ask that you acknowledge GOLD's hard work in organizing this event:
*If you adapt GOLD's materials for your own event, please do not remove the statement that GOLD is the organizer of WCD where this statement appears on various materials.
*If you add the WCD logo to your own educational materials, please also include the following statement in your document: “World COPD Day is an annual awareness-raising event organized and sponsored by the Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD).
